Carbon motor brushes are one of the most commonly replaced power tool parts. The reason is that carbon brushes are wear items, meaning that through friction and use they will gradually wear away and eventually will need replacing. Worn brushes are a common causes of intermittent motor function, reduced electric braking and reduced motor power. A worn-out brush will often be worn down near to the wire lead and can be cracked, pitted, or burned. When replacing carbon brushes, also check your armature for burns, cracks, or other damage which are indications of a larger motor problem needing attention.

This is a genuine brush set designed for use with Milwaukee rotary hammers. This assembly includes two (2) carbon brushes with lead wires attached. Please note brush holders are sold separately. Due to prolonged contact with an armature brushes will gradually wear down and will require replacement. It is advised to replace both brushes at the same type. To complete this repair you would need a screwdriver. • Make sure the unit is unplugged • Remove screws from the housing to gain access to the armature and brushes • Remove old brushes and secure the new ones in brush holders • Re-assemble and test the tool

This 120v carbon brush is an OEM direct from the Milwaukee manufacturer. Compatible with the 5262-21 (G43B) 1" SDS D-Handle Hammer, the brush is secured to the brush holder and armature. The purpose of brushes is to conduct current in an electric motor that powers the tool. This part is sold individually. A screwdriver is needed to make the proper removal and replacement.
Genuine Milwaukee replacement part, this item is sold individually. This Brush Spring is what keeps the tension on the brush against the armature. It is used in combination with the 22-16-0275 Brush and the 23-44-0190 Brush Retaining Screw. It is used on all the Milwaukee model numbers shown below.
