The purpose of a carburetor is to mix air and gas into a combustible mixture that is sent to the engine. Difficulty starting, rough idle, high idle, false-start, no-start, excessive fuel consumption, fuel leakage: these are the signs of a carburetor in decline. When they begin to multiply, it might be wise to change the entire assembly. When replacing carburetor it is advised to replace carburetor gaskets to ensure proper seal.
