This is an authentic replacement part manufactured for use with gas powered trimmers. As the magnets on the flywheel pass the ignition module an electric charge is created. The charge is sent to the spark plug which creates an electric arc in the cylinder, and that arc ignites the fuel/air mix inside the cylinder. A faulty ignition module can cause misfires, or prevent the engine from starting. This ignition module will come with the mounting hardware and is sold as an individual replacement part.
