This is a 1/2-inch OEM keyless chuck for hammer drills, allowing users to swiftly change drill bits and attachments without requiring a chuck key. Due to the mechanical stresses it undergoes, the jaws of the chuck can break or wear significantly, resulting in a loss of grip or excessive play. If you encounter difficulty tightening or loosening the chuck jaws on your drill or notice wobbling during operation, replacement is necessary. To replace this chuck assembly, you will need a screwdriver or drill to remove the initial left-handed screw on the inside. To completely remove the chuck, it is recommended that you secure the drill in a vise or use the drill itself, along with an Allen key, to detach the main chuck assembly from the drill. Once the old chuck is removed, you can effortlessly install the new chuck along with its securing screw. Please note that this chuck assembly is sold individually and does not include any additional securing hardware that may be required.
