Over that of the PSA (Pressure Sensitive Sandpaper) Applying too much pressure on the sander may cause premature wear on the Hook and Loop pad. When a pad needs to be replaced, simply remove the four screws that hold the pad to the sander, then replace it with a new pad. • Standard hook and loop pad for use with 5" discs. • It has 8 dust collection holes which works in conjunction with the dust bag to keep you work surface free of debris.
