Genuine Milwaukee replacement part. Includes 1 Carbon Brush with wire lead, brush spring and bracket attached. Two brushes are needed for the tools shown below. • Worn brushes are often the cause behind a a poorly running motor. • Replacing brushes can fix an intermittently operating motor. • New brushes can restore a motor's electric braking. Carbon motor brushes are one of the most commonly replaced power tool parts. Because carbon brushes are wear items, meaning that through friction and use they will gradually wear away, they will eventually need replacing. Worn brushes are a common causes of intermittent motor function, reduced electric braking and reduced motor power. A worn-out brush will often be worn down near the wire lead and may be cracked, pitted, or burned. When replacing carbon brushes be sure to also inspect your armature for burns, cracks, or other damage which are indication of a larger motor problem.

This is an on/off switch for various models of circular saws. This switch is located near the main handle assembly of the saw and responsible for toggling the power to the saw. This switch is made of durable black plastic and features a single toggle that the user presses to turn the saw on. Over time and through extended use, this switch can wear out and fail, at which point it needs to be tested with a multimeter, and/or replaced. To remove this switch for testing and replacement, you will need to first disconnect it from power, and then disassemble one half of the main handle with a drill or screwdriver. Once the securing screws are removed, you can pull the plastic shell of the handle off to expose its internal components. Pull the switch out of the housing and remove the wires connected to it, noting their location for the future installation. With the switch removed, you can test it with a multimeter to see if it has continuity, and if it does not, it will need to be replaced. With the new switch in-hand, install the wires with a screwdriver, starting with the motor wires (usually black first, and then white) and then the cord wires. Now place the switch into the housing and make sure the switch and wires are all flush, before reassembling the handle and securing it together.
